The DSG-Canusa of today was founded in the early 70s near Bonn. DSG Schrumpfschlauch began as a trading company and moved to the site in Meckenheim as a heat shrink manufacturer. In 1998 DSG was taken over by the Canadian company ShawCor. ShawCor, with its headquarters in Toronto, merged its subsidiary Canusa-EMI, which also produced heat shrinkable tubing, with DSG to create DSG-Canusa. With 300 employees in Europe and approximately 170 in Meckenheim, DSG-Canusa is one of the world leaders in heat shrink production. The Canadian parent
company is a growth-oriented company, active predominantly in Energy Services
around the globe. Founded in the 1930s, the public company now has annual
revenues approaching one billion CAN dollars. |
